When does ‘the buck stops here’ mean something to Obama?

It really seems that President Obama has a hard time getting the concept.  Every time he opens his mouth lately – it’s to tell all of us that he’s doing everything and is not to blame.  Couple that with his propensity for blaming everyone else and always trying to make someone else out to be ‘evil or wrong’.

I really think this stems from his background as a ‘Community Organizer’.  If you can arouse emotions by constantly creating an evil foe that is repressing your people (any group – not just a race or ethnic group) – then you too can have followers that will believe you’re their ‘Robin Hood’.

But now, after a year and a half in office – President Obama is starting to smell a little funny.  It’s what I would call the ‘visual stink test’.  If it looks like bullshit and it smells like bullshit – well, it’s probably bullshit.  I really feel like he’s just a grand liar and he’s building up more critics than believers.

The critics will now reach back to his campaign promises and realize that very few are being honored and the ones that are honored are now showing to have alternative agendas behind them.  Just look at how luke warm he’s been about supporting Israel in their endeavors to deal with the Palestinian trade embargo.  During his election campaign – he was staunchly pro Israel.  Now, ehh – not so much.

On the other hand, look at his ‘green’ campaign.  He’s pushed for green this and that – and trying desperately to get Cap and Trade past.  Which turns out – will make his political friends and allies TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS.  So is it the ‘happy green thing’? Or is it the ‘tons of green’ that he and his partners plan on making for years to come.

BACK ON SUBJECT:

Barack is going to give another address Tuesday night (6/15/10).  It will be well scripted, teleprompter driven, and he will tell you:

  • How hard he and his regime are working to solve this issue.
  • How British Petroleum is the evil corporation.
  • How he’s going to make sure that everyone in the area that is affected will get lots of money.
  • How America will come back from this because he’s leading.

Also, he’ll have some stories about the animals he’s seen that are suffering and the people that he’s talked to that are suffering.

Optionally, he might blame Republicans, the Tea Party, or even George Bush (but in a subtle way – by blaming ‘the previous administration’, etc.).

Can we count the lies or the times he chooses to blame others?  How about counting how many time he’ll tell us what a good job he’s doing? We could make a drinking game called “Obama Bullshit” and we drink a shot every time he tells us how hard he’s working.  I’d be plastered before the Lakers and Celtics make it to the floor!

If his address falls flat – maybe he can blame his speech writers for telling him to blame someone else.
